Anger: E85 Report
Well, not really anger, more like annoyance.
I pulled into my somewhat local E85 distributor to find the price was $2.58 when the price of E10 was $2.69. Usually there is a $0.40 difference. The gang at the E85 Forum have noted that there seems to be a shortage of Ethanol, which is driving up the price.
As I have said before, I would buy E85 even if the price was higher than E10 based on the home-grown (literally) nature of E85 versus the import from my enemy’s nature of gasoline. I just wish the price was lower for selfish reasons for sure, but also to encourage more people to partially kick the gasoline habit.
I really doubt my 1 tank of E85 every two weeks matters to the Saudis, but it sure matters to me.
CEL Update: Still off! And it was much colder in the mornings this past weekend and I had no problems starting. [fingers crossed!]
