One of my daily reads, Confederate Yankee, got into a shouting match with a typical Lefty blog over the numbers at the Anti-Bush rally this past weekend. He was banned from the blog, which is no loss, but I thought I would point out the "injustice" of a few posters to this thread. They only came out to bash him after he was publicly banned from the site. Nice courage there...

So anyway, I went back there to see my comment's effect.

It's gone! No word, no response, just poof! Here is the comment:

Nice... You come out and bash someone only after he was banned from the site.

As you can see, nothing nasty, just a comment on the quality of the site's posters. A comment backed by observable facts by the way.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for clearing out comment spam and posts that are offensive or abusive. The difference between the typical lefty and VRWC buff is that the lefty will not think twice about stifling anyone's freedom of speech. When I get a comment that I don't agree with, I generally respond without removing it. (Example) I once deleted a legit comment, I felt so bad that I posted this.

This is typical behavior for the LLL, as least from my experience (right "Foo Fighter"?). Freedom of speech for me, but not for thee.

So, go ahead and kill the comments that don't fit into your worldview, make sure you get the ones that you can't argue with first.
