Pride: On Wisconsin!
Those whacy Wisconsinites have found yet another use for dairy production:
Ethanol from Cheese, or more accurately from the whey-ste products of making cheese.
State agriculture officials say the cheese waste to ethanol technology could save cheese makers millions of dollars annually in disposal costs. All for a small investment of $29,000.
Tell me again why research into ethanol is a bad idea?
Update: I guess this is not such a new idea as Golden Cheese has been at it since the mid 1980s. They stopped for awhile when the market was not there, but restarted in 2001 because demand began to rise due to the phase-out of MTBE.
