Anger: Game Summit
Why are we even wasting time on this?
Where was this display of common sense last week Senator?
"It would be an enormous waste of time and resources to pass a clearly unconstitutional law," Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) said at the hearing.
Notice the telltale "yet" in this:
Others called to testify, including researchers clearly alarmed by the violence in games, acknowledged the research wasn't there yet to prove games have lasting damage on kids who play them.
Here is a gem from Senator Colburn:
"We ought to do whatever we can to limit the violent exposure of these games to children," Colburn said. "There may not be anything negative but there is certainly nothing positive about these games."Well, Senator, there may not be anything negative about re-electing you to the Senate, but maybe we should err on the side of caution.

Update: DBS points out that I have my Senators mixed up. The one in the story is a Democrat state Senator, not the hero of the Porkbusters.
Makes WAY more sense as game censors are almost uniformly Democrats.
