While it shows a majority of Americans feel the tax system is unfair, this poll still has depressing information.

An Ipsos Poll released this week found almost six of 10 people, 58 percent, say the system is unjust

Who are the 4 in 10 that think it is fair? Did you guys poll a hospital for the criminally stupid?

People think the middle class, the self-employed and small businesses pay too much in taxes, the poll found.

While this sounds right, check the next sentence

And they think those with high incomes and big businesses don't pay enough.

A system where you pay a higher rate when you have more income is one that causes high income people to pay less? It looks like the Democrats and their wholly owned subsidiary (the MSM) are getting their message out. For businesses, I have to assume they haven't thought about it because businesses don't pay taxes, they pass that along to the consumer as a cost of doing business. By all means, raise taxes on businesses...duh.

My opinion is that taxing income is one of the stupidest ideas ever. We tax Oil and Booze in order to reduce demand, so taxing income is just downright stupid. Do we really want less income?

Have a look at the alternatives, I like the Fair Tax, but there are many good ideas out there.
