Greed: Please Explain This...
Someone asking for donations for Katrina victims has the following 2 bits on their front page:
Nearly 60,000 people have donated to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, for a total of over $100 million in contributions, and more money continues to come in.Wow, that's a lot of money. I wonder how it is being spent?
Since December 2005 the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund has given $20.1 million in grants to 33 higher educational institutions in the Gulf region.Unless I have read this wrong or my basic math skillz have failed me, that leaves $59.9 million still in the fund.
Is there nobody in the gulf region that needs the money or is this "non profit" just as inept as FEMA?
