Greed: Outlaw Free Software?

How could you?!

French Department of Culture. SNEP and SCPP have told Free Software authors: "You will be required to change your licenses." SACEM add: "You shall stop publishing free software," and warn they are ready "to sue free software authors who will keep on publishing source code"
Ohhhhh... its the French...

Seriously, what bonehead thinks that the free software/open source movement is a bad thing? Maybe they don't realize... wait... they're French!

Way to go Pierre...

H/T to Marty. (Fast enough for you?)

Update: Welcome bonfire fans! Go to the Main Page for more ranting fun.
