Nothing happened. Nothing. Nada. Squat.

A very embarrassed and frustrated landlord called me today to tell me that the judge in the case decided it was too cold to turn these "people" out into the streets. They lied to the judge by saying that they had small children living with them in order to get more time. It worked and they have another 2 weeks.

I didn't get an answer to the question of what happens in 2 weeks, an eviction or another court apperence. From the non-answer, I am guessing the latter.

Why to honest people (me and the landlord) get the shaft while scofflaws like these Drug Lord animals get all the breaks? Is my perspective shot here? They deal drugs, frighten other residents and have never paid a dime of rent. It seems pretty cut and dried from where I sit, but an easily debunked lie allows them to do even more damage.

Yeah, that seems fair.
