Anger: Of course
Recently, Jay Tea at Wizbang! posted about a crime in New Bedford, NH. Here, here and here are the posts.
Some crazed animal named Jacob Robida attacked a gay bar patron with a knife and then shot up the bar. The story ends well for the nutjob (he died of his wounds), but not for an innocent bystander and a police officer in Arkansas.
Why would I be brining this up almost a week later?
It seems the Mayor of New Bedford, Scott Lang, is a fan of Censorship and is using this crime as a call for videogame grabbing.
While I am not familiar with these videos I have seen enough to know they can provide no healthy education for our children. Lastly, there is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Robida played these video games on a regular basis as he was completely obsessed with weapons, violence and destruction.
There doesn't seem to be any evidence that this animal was a gamer, but don't let that stop you from grandstanding Mr. Mayor.
Update: Game Politics points to an Arkansas Newspaper Story Investigators: Video games not linked to shooting.
Should I hold my breath for a retraction from Mayor Lang?
Naahhhh, I like breathing.
